Data Collection and Sharing:

The 'RaceTac Committee' app has 'Free' and a 'Pro' versions:

Free Version:

The Free version only stores boat finish times with the boat name. These can be emailed. See the 'Manual Data Sharing' section below. It cannot collect any other infoarmation.

Pro Version:

In additon to sharing finish logs via email, the Pro version can optionally send/receive data with the 'RaceTac Regattas' web based Regatta Management System (RMS). This is all found under the 'RMS Sync' function in the app:

• To exchange data with the RMS, a username (email) and password are stored. These are setup on the RMS. You cannot create an account via the app.
• Race boats information can be downloaded from the RMS.
• Regatta information can be downloaded from the RMS. Including Regatta Name, Organizing Authorty name, and division information (start times, flags, description).
• Race results (finish times) can be uploaded to the RMS.
• The locaton of the Committee Boat and up to 4 Mark Boats can be uploaded to the RMS system. No other info is uploaded other than the location of those possible boats (CB, M1, M2, M3, or M4)
• A Race can be scored. The resulting scores can be sent as a spreadsheet via email.
• All of this information is exchanged over a secure, encrypted, connection.
